Mile High Food Club: a new local takeout experience

In case you’re feeling some withdrawal from those food trucks doing the cooking once a month, there’s a new neighborhood secret worth checking out. Mile High Food Club has apparently been open for almost a year but at least some of us have only recently discovered it.

This is a restaurant incubator space with over thirty different restaurants all under one roof. They’ve rehabilitated a 1960’s building on S Grape St. just south of Evans. One employee explained it to me as “studio apartments for restaurants” and they define ghost kitchen on their website:

  • A commercial kitchen for rent.
  • A private kitchen space developed for restaurateurs, used for food delivery and takeout orders only.

Their offerings include Bangkok Street Food, Holy Moly Mac N Cheese and Mile High Burrito Company just to name a few. Many of their restaurateurs are first-time Denver entrepreneurs. The online ordering takes a little getting used to (you order from each restaurant one at a time and get several texts confirming this), but the ease of pick-up makes up for this. It is ready very quickly and you can walk out with a different type of meal for each person in your group. Delivery is offered by the usual services and though it’s take-out only, there is a small outdoor patio. Visit milehighfoodclub.com for more information.
